The department is fully committed towards building up the six pillars, upon which rest, the edifice of educational pedagogy & development.Create paradigm in the various fields of electrical engineering like in power system, Instrumentation & control, power electronics, electric drives field, smart controllers based automation, SCADA systems. To make the students capable to innovating with various products, processes & method. To provide facilities to the students to develop their inherent talents & establish themselves as result oriented professional leaders. To conduct research & develop case-studies, research methodologies etc. for professional use of academicians and students. Recognizing socio-economic needs & visualizing the full-potential of human & national resources. Focus on inculcating in its associates sensitivity to real world issues & ability to become leaders in their chosen fields-leaders of tomorrow. Faculty & students of this department are encouraged to take independent initiatives with collective responsibility in all the relevant academic and R& D dimensions, like teaching, Curriculum Development, Graduate project work super-vision etc. They have ample of freedom to associate as members of team with other faculty, research engineers or with faculty in interdisciplinary areas.
LABORATORIES (DEVELOPED) Electrical Machines Lab consists various D.C. & A.C. machines to perform starting, speed control, O.C. & S.C. test, hoppkinson's test, scott connection, parallel connections of different machines Y-? & ??-Y connection etc. Electrical Science Lab deals with the measurement of inductance, capacitance, resistance, resonance, frequency, the working & calibration of various instruments Like energy meter. O.C. & S.C. test of transformers, parallel operation of transformers etc. Circuit & System Lab involves network synthesis like practical implementation of Thevenin's theorem, Superposition, Reciprocity theorem, Millman's theorem Norton's theorem. Determination of z parameter & hybrid meter using two port network. Control System Engineering Lab is a platform where students can study & work on SCR, DIAC controlled D.C. Motors, A.C. Motors, transmitters & receivers, types of controllers like P.I.D. controllers, compensation design of various types of systems. Power system & High voltage Lab is one of the most important lab for electrical Engineers. Sophisticated equipments such as Alstom make, over current relay, Directional or current relay, over plan rely, earth fault relay, C.T.'s & P.T.'s, 3Q transformers, Oil testing transformer are installed in this lab to give the over all exposure of power system protection schemes to the students.
