HMRITM is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Inderprastha University (GGSIP) & as on date the GGSIP University's curriculum of Mechanical & Automation Engg. is comparable & at some places is even better than premier institutions of the country. Deptt. of Mechanical & Automation Engg. is well equipped with state of the art equipments & facilities in all Labs(list of Labs is at *), alongwith latest versions of mechanical engg. softwares (Pro-E, CATIA, Autocad etc.) with experienced , motivated & dedicated Faculty. Although a relatively new college, the academic performance of our students is comparable to the best in GGSIP University .

It is noteworthy that , in 5th Sem our student is the overall topper of GGSIP University besides many of our students being subject toppers.A well euipped & continuously updated library comprising of over 350 titles(2500 volumes) of Mechanical & Automation Engg. , 10 national , 2 international journals, national/international magazines, & books of general interest are present for all round growth of students.

Our Labs are also well equipped in Automation Engg.(a need of modern day industrial houses) like : Microprocessor & Applications, Measurement & Control, Mechatronics & also Computer /IT based Mechanical Engg. besides core Mechanical Engg. subjects (list of Course-Curriculum is at **) Students are also well versed with the latest Mechanical Engg. technologies like CAD, CAM, Robotics, Mechatronics & Advanced methods of manufacturing.

Besides Mechanical Engg. subjects, our students of MAE deptt. are well exposed to the Information Technology, Computer, Electronic & Electrical Engg. basics.

In-house Summer training of 6 weeks after 4th Sem is imparted in latest softwares such as “Pro-E, Autocad & CATIA”. Our Students have already been familiarised to industrial environment & working through visits in various industries.

As Automobile sector is growing rapidly in India & abroad, International Society of Automobile Engineers (SAE) have established their branch in India, namely ISAE. ISAE as per their charter is expanding the technology by establishing/ opening students chapter in good performing Technical Institutes. HMRITM is the one, where student's chapter, i.e an extension of ISAE has been established & our students have gained a lot through ISAE seminars, meetings & conferences.
